Vicki Andrews

Senior Solicitor – B.Ec LLB (Sydney University)

Vicki is our senior Solicitor who has been practicing law since 1986. She has an extensive understanding in all areas of law, particularly family law, wills and estates. Her approach is down to earth, precise, honest and realistic. Vicki encourages and assists her clients to understand and actively work towards a solution to their dispute. Vicki openly acknowledges that every matter is unique and she is aware her clients have differing economic circumstances and is particular in advising and achieving a cost effective solution for each individual case scenario. She also has extensive court experience in Family Law matters and is able to guide and represent her clients in all stages of the Court process.

Emily Johnson

Solicitor – LLB BBus (Management)

Emily has worked in the legal industry for 7 years and has expertise in family law, conveyancing, wills and estates. She is extremely passionate about family law and has undertaken a great deal of work with legal aid clients, as well as work in the care and protection jurisdiction. She is a very compassionate person by nature and has a natural ability to nurture her clients through whatever journey they may take under her close legal advice and guidance. Emily has completed the Law Society of NSW program in wills and probate and is currently studying her Masters of Applied Laws, with a major in Family Law.

Kim Lawson

Family and Criminal Solicitor

Kim is our friendly and professional Family and Criminal Law Solicitor. She was born and bred in country New South Wales, however, completed her law degree at Newcastle University. Her country upbringing has installed the logical, down-to-earth, problem solving and hardworking values that make her a strong asset to the East Coast Law family and all of her clients.
Kim completed her studies at Newcastle University in 2007 before taking a well earnt 15 month working holiday in England and across Europe. Upon returning to Australia, Kim lived and worked in Canberra for approximately four and a half years before the stunning beaches of Newcastle called and she relocated back to the Hunter.
Kim has experience and a particular interest in Family and Criminal Law including advocacy and mediation and regularly appears in the Federal Circuit Court of Australia, Family Court of Australia and the NSW Local and District Courts. She is also an accredited Independent Children’s Lawyer, and has also appeared in the Children’s Court.
Kim prides herself on being very approachable and genuine, a good listener, and dedicated. She works hard in order to achieve a timely, practical and cost-effective resolution for her clients. This is because she understands that her clients who are going through a separation are often experiencing one of the most emotionally difficult times in their life. As such Kim works hard in order to make the Family Law process as smooth and as painless as possible for her clients.

Christine Tyas

Personal Assistant

Christine has had many years of experience in legal administration and support roles in Sydney, Bowral and Canberra before relocating to the Mid-North Coast in 2013. She joined East Coast Law in early 2015. Christine enjoys assisting clients throughout their matters, ensuring they receive the highest level of professional and personal service. She is an integral part of the East Coast team. Christine is also very community spirited and enjoys spending time with her family. Christine has completed a Certificate IV Assessment & Workplace Trainer, Word Processing Specialist Trainer Certificate, Certificate of Administration Leadership, Word Processing Certificate, Secretarial Certificate and Mental Health First Aid.

Jessica Stucke

Client Coordinator

Jessica works in a legal support and client management role and is our first major point of contact. She efficiently liaises with our clients, answers questions and responds to queries in a prompt and accurate manner. Behind the scenes she is renowned for her speed and accuracy, organisational and leadership skills and particularly her individual light hearted sense of humour. Jessica has completed her Certificate III in Business Administration, a Certificate IV in Accounting and she is currently studying a Diploma of Management.

Bindy Charley

Client Service and Support Manager

As our Client Service and Support Manager Bindy conducts an exclusive role in providing to clients a court support service, explanation of court procedures, practices, mediation conferences and other ancillary options. She assists to link clients to additional support services and their affiliations. Bindy has completed a Bachelor of Arts Degree at the University of Sydney, a Certificate III in Business Administration (majoring in Legal Studies), and a Statement of Attainment:-Recognise and Respond to Domestic Violence through Mid North Coast Connect. She has completed a Lifeline Domestic Violence and Response course. Bindy is also an accomplished and trained mentor through Mid North Coast Connect.
